Trans-Siberian Orchestra

Holy cow. If you have never been to one of their shows you MUST put it on your to-do list. This show was incredible. The musicians and the singers were amazing, the lighting was awesome, and the pyro was so hot we could feel the heat on our faces. Here is the link to their bios http://www.trans-siberian.com/about/band.php  The majority of the group has other gigs or solo careers and tours with TSO part time. The string section they used was the Amsterdam Strings, so I am guessing they use strings from each city. Makes sense why they were using sheet music and no one else was. The guitarist and the bass were from their own band, and A LOT of their fans were there. Rock and rollers with long hair and black t-shirts!  I felt like Brandon and I were the youngest people in the room, but there was a kid that was probably 10 sitting in the front row. His parents were smart enough to put headphones on him because it was loud!!  We had awesome seats, row six, dead center, so we could see everything. The only downside was that lights kept shining directly in my eyes and blinding me for a few seconds at a time.

Here are some pictures that Brandon took on his phone. We weren't too sure of taking photos but then everyone was doing it so next time he might take his big camera and get better shots.

I can't wait for next year's Europe tour!!

Happy Wife!

After a looong draaaaagging week, the weekend was finally relaxing and stress free with Brandon coming home! Even though it was just for 3 days it was perfect and just what we all needed. We went to Hard Rock for dinner on Saturday followed by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra (more on that tomorrow) and it was epic. Today we went to look at a house that we are 99% sure we are going to move into, and tomorrow begins week 3 of the longest 6 weeks of my life.

We did have an awesome week though, Cody passed his swimming test, we played Bingo at the club, it's January so we still get to park in the front of the building, and I packed up some more boxes. I have also read 4 books already this year and can't wait to get our Book Club book. My goal for next week is to put some more details into this blog, but getting on here once a week has made me happy so far. (yay for 3 times!)

Here's this weeks pictures:

Triple Cheeseburger after the swimming test! Cody was worried about passing, I was too, because he wouldn't keep his face in the water. Two more months and one more test and he is done!

Passed out.

Best Friends!!

So happy he passed!!

Kyle working out.

Front row parking! Brandon's flight bought the first 4 parking spots for the month of January and two of them are reserved for the girls. Thanks guys!

One down, one to go...

Five more days until Brandon comes home for the weekend! Luckily, he gets the holiday off too so he goes back on Monday.  This week was pretty good, we only had cookies and chips once for dinner, I cooked real food the rest of the time! Cody's school is going well, we went to coffee morning and played with friends, and Cody had his practice swim test. As long as he keeps his face in the water for as long as he is supposed to he should pass. The instructors kept him back after the lesson to make sure he knows what he needs to do.

Happy New Year!

Week one is gone already, I have a feeling this year is going to fly by faster than the previous ones. We have a lot to look forward to this year. Kyle will turn 1, Brice will turn 5, we are moving to a new house, Vickie is coming, I will turn 29 again, Brandon's parents are coming to visit, and we are trying to get the oldest two to go back to the States with them for a visit before coming back to start at the International School. Kindergarten and 4th Grade.

We had an awesome Christmas and a fun New Year's Eve with lots of fireworks, and I think we have sufficiently recovered and are ready to get back to our routine! Brandon left for a 6 week school in Ramstein today but he will be back in two weeks to take me to see Trans Siberian Orchestra! Luckily even though he is in another country he is only four hours away :)

The boys are going to be in for a rude awakening when they can't play video games all day, they have pretty much had some electronic attached to them for the last week and a half. For some reason I can't upload any Christmas pictures, so here are some hightlights!

Christmas Eve...This was the best out of 10.....they're lucky they're so cute!

Finally received my diploma in the mail!  Happy New Year to me!

 I have a few goals for 2014:
Blog once a week. Read 50 books (it's been done before). Read the Bible. Get in the best shape ever.

There are probably more but that sounds good for today. Let's hope this week goes well with Brandon being gone!
